The Four Seasons Albums

Encouraged by the response to their 3 "imported" albums, Verkade decided to produce a series of 4 albums depicting the Dutch countryside as it changed throughout the year. Beginning with "Lente" (Spring) they then moved through "Zomer" (Summer) and "Herfst" (Autumn) before completing the series with their "Winter" album. The albums were issued, at yearly intervals during the period 1906-1909.
