1965   Vogelzang (Songbirds)

A fully printed 80-page Verkade hardback "album" which was started around 1938 but remained unfinished until resurrected in the early 1960s. It contains a mixture of colour and black & white photographs to illustrate the original text.

1975   Het Albumverhaal van Verkade (The Story of Verkade Albums)

A 16 page illustrated black & white booklet with a card cover, produced by Verkade. This contains some good background on the albums and the people who worked on them.

1986   Honderd Jaar Verkade (One Hundred Years of Verkade)

A 140 page glossy hardback providing an illustrated history of the company and includes a chapter on their albums & cards. The book contains many photographs the notes to which are given in Dutch and English. There is also an English Version of the "Summary" which covers all aspects of the companies business - including the issue of their cards and albums.

1995   Eik en Beuk (Oak and Beech)

A fully printed 80-page full-clour Verkade hardback laid out in the style of an album. This is an echo of the 1930's enhanced by the design & printing techniques of the present day. It is a great shame that this did not contain cards or plates (and hence become a Cartophilic work) as it is a truly superb book.

The artwork is absolutley wonderful and contains a mixture of previously used illustrations and new material covering all aspects of Woodland flora and fauna.
